Admissions Requirements
andidates for
admission to Christ the Teacher Institute for Education will be
considered if they have:
a) Satisfactorily completed their secondary education and submitted
a transcript of results of a national examination and school leaving
certificate and all other relevant academic records. Those who
have pursued college or university studies should submit original
copies of official records and certified transcripts (with grades
as well as an explanation and interpretation of grading system).
b) Been recommended by an appropriate and acceptable authority
familiar with the applicant's personal character as well as the
applicant's ability to undertake and complete university studies;
c) Submitted evidence of competence in the English language through
the passing of an internationally recognized test of English at
a communicator level such as TOEFL, British Council, Cambridge,
or Pitman examinations. The results should be submitted with the
official application.
d) Submitted a typed or word-processed essay of about two hundred
words on: “Why I want to be a Catholic/Christian Educator.”
e) Submitted a signed letter from a sponsor guaranteeing the
cost of education at CTIE.

CTIE has TWO intakes - August and January. The following deadlines apply:
- April 30th for August intake
- Nevember 30th, for January intake.
