Diploma programme
he diploma programme in the Institute of Spirituality and Religious Formation currently offers three specializations: in Spirituality/Spiritual Guidance, in Religious Formation and in Spirituality. The programme gives particular attention to training and development of professional skills, personal spiritual growth, and inculturation in the African context. Diplomas are awarded by Tangaza College to candidates who, over two years, satisfactorily complete and pass the required units. In addition, each student must submit and present a project on an approved topic during the second semester of the second year of programme.
The diploma programme is divided into four semesters over a two-year period. In the first year students take the core courses that are foundational for their diplomas. In the second year, the number of core courses is reduced, to provide time for work on a particular project. In both years, electives are offered, but in the second year these electives are mainly chosen from the area of specialization.
