Candidates for admission to Christ the Teacher Institute for Education will be considered if they have fulfilled the following:
Master of Education (Education Leadership and Administration)
a) Bachelor of Education, Upper Second Class honours; or
b) Bachelor of Education with Lower Second Class honours, 2 years of teaching or related experienced; or
c) Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) and Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) with a minimum achievement of Credit.
Four-Year Bachelor of Education Program
a) C+ Average for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent; and
b) C+ for the specific teaching subject area(s) of study.
Three-Year Diploma in Education
a) C or C+ average for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent;
b) C+ for specific teaching subject area(s) of study.
Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECDE) Program
a) A minimum grade of C in KCSE or equivalent examination; or
b) Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education.
Diploma in Business Information
a) A minimum grade of C- (minus) in KCSE or equivalent examination; or
b) A certificate in areas of Business Studies and IT.
Requirements for Admission
• Completed CTIE Application Form
• One Passport size photograph
• A recommendation letter by an authority familiar with the applicant's personal character and ability to undertake university studies.
• Non-refundable application fee of Ksh. 1,500 (for Diploma & Bachelor application) and Ksh 2000 (for Masters application) (Bankers Cheque or Deposit Slip)
