We welcome to the Institute of Youth Ministry. We aim at the integral education and formation of the student so that the competence and the professional qualification achieved may be placed at the service of the young and the society at large.
Inspired by the Salesian educative Charism, we are rooted in the conviction that a holistic education empowers the young to be agents of transformation in the Church and in society.
Why IYM
IYM is for you who loves young people and care for their future. At IYM you will learn how to become precious gifts of life for many generations of youth, particularly the poorer ones, those abandoned, at risk, marginalized and cut off from the mainstream of society.
We are guided by the desires to build a situation where the “quality of life may restore the young to God”. Students prepare themselves to become youth ministers, educators and counselors for the children, the adolescents and the young to whom these future youth ministers will be sent.

Career Path
The programmes in offer are a reality to the people who love to care and serve in the society. Possible fields of commitment and employment are: Children’s homes; remand centers; counseling centers; Ministry of Youth Affairs; Churches; NGOs, development agencies and other areas that have the welfare, development and rights of children and youth at heart.
Interested individuals can also proceed for post-graduate level qualification in the different areas such as Counseling Psychology, Human Rights of Children and Youth and Development studies.
